Hi Dr MoBYU, yep revalries are great and I love them. They keep the game exciting. 

The whole point of my post was that the rivarly should allow both sides to retain their dignity without such condescending, negative, caustic remarks. Please let me explain from my perspective and the initial purpose of my post. You may recall from my post that I was in the Bay Area for nearly four decades. During that time, I followed the Deseret News sports for both teams. Slowly, but surely, it got to the point where I couldn't read the comments following an article because many of the comments were so full of poison. Someone would write a positive story about BYU and some Ute fans would come in flaming away in a manner that was totally unrelated to the story. The same thing occurred in reverse with a Utah story. In many cases, these remarks had absolutely nothing to do with the story. I know I sound naive, but I expect more from both Utah and BYU.
