same product they’re putting on the field. 7-5 seasons are unfortunately going to remain the norm unless we put in the resources to move up in the world. Unfortunately having a perpetually average program makes us BYU fans want the Utes to experience the same or worse. Seeing them invest way more into their program hurts. The more BYU will invest in BYU I won’t care what happens to our rival because we will be winning. There’s some serious changes needed in our program though, a couple that would make a big difference, even if they sound a bit outlandish include: better Gameday experience, “calling” the best LDS players on “missions” to play football at BYU, planning our schedule to get wins (Utes do this every year to make their schedule favorable), don’t make football share their facilities with intramurals/other sports, hire a University President and athletic director that put winning as their highest priority—because that is what will make BYU football a true missionary tool—when they’re consistently ranked like they were in the 80’s.
