Nobody is setting expectations at LaVell type success. Most are basically asking for Bronco-esque results. Derik, Vai, etc. were all calling for a change because Bronco had supposedly hit a ceiling and Kalani was the guy to take it to the next level. You can't then ask fans to lower expectations 4 years later because your guy isn't living up to the standard. If Kalani is incapable of meeting expectations then we need somebody new leading the program.
Some simple things for Kalani to acheive that would help him meet expectations:
1-Beat Utah State 4 out of 5 games.
2-Beat Boise State half the time.
3-Don't lose to mediocre G5 teams that BYU should beat comfortably.
By simply doing these things he'd have 9 more wins during his tenure, he'd be averaging 9 wins per season, and everyone would love him.
