seriously doubt Zach would've put 42 pts on the scoreboard vs USU's D.
Both USU and Hawaii had comparably bad defenses. Hawaii gave up 31.9 pts per game this year and Zach just barely eclipsed their average in the bowl game (we scored 34 pts). Baylor and Jaren combined to put up 42 pts on USU's D (a defense as bad as Hawaii's) beating USU's avg (gave up 30.7 pts per game) by almost 2 TD's.
I've not read a single post on CB where anyone proclaims Romney or Hall as being "insane" so that's intellectually dishonest of you to infer that is part of this discussion, all anyone is saying is in their limited opportunity both Jaren and Baylor outplayed ZW this year and our offense looked better with them running it than it did with Zach.
ZW took a definite step backwards in his development this year and Hall and Romney both earned a legit shot at the QB1 job. ZW doesn't look anymore to be the guy who gives BYU the best shot at winning and that's all that matters to me and all that should matter to fans. He might look the most athletic, look to have the best arm and be the most exciting/flair for drama but what matters is the scoreboard, who shows they can move the offense and get the ball in the endzone the best. This year that guy wasn't Zach.
