with kids who didn't really want to be there, and/or parents who could care less about scouts but made their kids go to scout meetings because it was a church activity. It made it nearly impossible to get anything done.

The one stake I was in in the US during my youth was from TX and our trips were similar. All funded by Brisket BBQ
