Nothing wrong with splitting the difference and saving some money
If it was me I’d really consider a refinance to a 15yr loan if I could drop the rate down into the low 3’s as far as percentage. You’re still cutting a lot of years and interest off if you can do that.
It would be nice to have liquidity with the rest and do some different things with the market and real estate
