Yep, and those rules are designed so that you have to break 2 of them to have a catastrophe.
No never intentionally violate one of them, and even if you accidentally do, nothing too bad will happen. But if you are knowingly ignoring one of them, then all it takes is a careless moment (or brain fart, as you said) and someone gets hurt or killed.
