Question for intermittent fasting and fitness experts
I work out in a fasted state such that, by the end of the workout, it's been about 13 hours since I've last eaten.

Conventional sports nutrition wisdom suggests that, under those conditions, I should eat a meal of mostly fast absorbing protein and carbs within 2 hours of the workout (and the sooner, the better).

However, some intermittent fasting aficionados suggest that I should wait for at least 2-3 hours after the workout before eating and that doing so will cause my body to burn even more fat and have absolutely no negative consequences with respect to muscle composition or recovery.

Many in the second camp also tend to follow ketogenic dieting and suggest that carbs are not as important in post-workout nutrition as conventionally believed and that, instead, the post-workout meal should be more of a combination of fat and protein.

Where do you tend to lean on this subject?

FWIW, I'm currently following the more conventional approach (eating mostly fast absorbing protein and carbs about 15-20 minutes after ending my workout), which tends to be roughly 2 hours and comprises about 2/3 resistance training and about 1/3 cardio (the cardio is broken up into segments within the resistance training). I rotate through a push/pull/leg split twice a week (take Sundays off).
