Leach is still running the exact same system he has for 25 years with a ton of success, so its not like the Air Raid system itself is outdated. Bushman would dominate in that system. Katoa running option routes against LBs? Yes please. If Wilson could focus on being a decision maker instead of a playmaker he'd thrive in that offense. And if Wilson can't make the adjustment, I'm sure Romney would have no issues running that offense efficiently. And think what that huge OL could accomplish in the running game if opponents' #1 concern was defending a high level passing scheme?
BYU with a good QB and an offensive system that fits is Top 40 without anything else.
You add a coach that knows how to run the 3-4 with BYU's ability to recruit LBs and run stuffing DL and you have the recipe for a Top 25 program, even with all of the obstacles BYU puts in its own way.
