easier to go the Urgent Care in the states (I live in Texas now) because there is never a wait. In Edmonton you would wait hours if you want to go to the medi-centre. We had a good pediatrician so could usually get same day appointments for the kids - although there was typically a wait involved. People might go to the ER a little more, but the waits were usually much worse there for non-life threatening visits.
