game. I completely forgot to add Dalton Nixon back into the lineup as I was simply working off the minutes from the previous 5 games which Nixon didn't play in. Since he was expected to be fully recovered and playing I felt the need to add his 20 minutes/game back into the depth chart and given he's a key role player on this team I felt I had no other choice but to re-run the simulation for accuracy's sake. The game played out as follows:
Game starts w/ Haws scoring on an and-1 and making the FT followed shortly by Haws making an open 3 pointer from the left corner to give BYU a quick 6-0 lead. After ETSU ties it up at 6 BYU then extends the lead to 12-6 with a three point play by Yoeli followed Toolson knocking down a 3 point show. Barcello then buries a 3 to extend the early lead to 15-8. The team play back and forth for a bit with BYU having the lead 25-20 at the 10:44 mark. BYU then goes on a 9-0 run led by 6 points from Kolby Lee to go along with a Seljaas 3 from the right wing. BYU goes on to lead at the break 50-39 with the final basket being a Yoeli Childs one-hand slam off an assist from Haws. Both teams more or less trade shots the entire 2nd half with the scoring margin not changing too drastically. Some highlights include Yoeli scoring the first 6 points for BYU of the half including another 1 handed slam. Barcello and Toolson hit a couple of back-to-back 3s to extend the lead to 15 after ETSU cuts it to 9. Gavin Baxter scores his only 2 points of the game with 11 seconds left. BYU wins the game 94-79. BYU was on fire from 3 shooting 14-28 in the game. Player of the game is TJ Haws with 20 points, 9 assists, and 4 rebounds. Yoeli Childs added 20 points and 10 rebounds as well. They go on to face 14 seed Eastern Washington in the round of 32.
