without retesting doctors will have some idea. Unless doctors that are treating haven’t seen cases without treatment. Even those hospitalized could be monitored and tracked even if they aren’t retesting. If it doesn’t really work I imagine we would have already known by now. Hundreds or thousands of doctors with their anecdotal experience will get it right pretty quickly given the sharing of information that is going on.
I’m a researcher and understand the importance of rigorous testing but I’m also practical about ways we can learn information and actual shared experience that creates conventional wisdom can be a pretty powerful way to obtain knowledge.
