their own pay, their freedoms, their health care and their continued contributions to pensions and retirement savings. Because they would no longer have health care through their employer they would get it the same way and and at the same expense as the breadwinners who are no longer employed. They would choose to be at the level of those who lost their jobs because of their declaration. Of course they wouldn't work to get it back by passing more laws.
As you think of them making this sacrifice, as they certainly will, aren't you as impressed with them as I am? My heart is full.
