I had a huge crush on this girl so I asked her out. She said yes, but then went out of town that weekend without mentioning anything. Grr. Anyway, once she got back we started to hang out. Her, me, and her roommate did all kinds of things together including driving to Salt Lake to meet up with the other girl's boyfriend to go skiing. I was super into her and really shy about ever making a move.

Once I was rubbing her shoulders and she said something like "I could marry you". I took it like just something you say when you really enjoy something, obviously not literally, but that was strike #1 to me being a dummy and not making a move.

Strike #2 happened when our car broke down, the 4 of us. It was winter and we were on a rural road. The other guy and I decided we'd walk back down to a gas station and call for help while the girls stayed in the car. Just before we left she put her hand on mine and said something, I don't remember what. Yup you guessed it, didn't make a move.

Strike #3 was the most atrocious. She and I were hanging out alone and she literally asked me, "so do you want to kiss me?". I said yes, as in of course I do; almost like she was conducting a survey and I gave my answer. I still slap myself over that one. No move.

We never actually ended up dating and I saw her with another guy sometime later. Bleh.

It's okay, I found her years later on FB and saw things that she posted. We would have never worked out. But she was pretty cute and I screwed up all my makeout opportunities.
