get annoyed when the pellet guys walk in like some pit boss. You have to recognize that a pellet smoker is basically an outdoor oven that drops chemically-enhanced sawdust on your meat. Technology does the work. But that's the point; own it.
Stick burning is so much harder, takes so much more attention, but IMO delivers a far superior product. It's also how I was raised.
A guy I know and hung out with this weekend is ranked on the Texas Monthly Top 50, but he owns a Treager for when he simply wants to be simple.
