Because I can agree with that. For the majority of white America the 80s and 90s were peaches and cream compared to the previous 20 years of american exceptionalism that came home to roost in the end of 70s and the 20 years of war and economic crashes that came about because of bad policy during the 80s and 90s. I really doubt that you will find the same positive sentiment from people that were in demographics and communities that were ravaged during those positive years though. I am no historians, and I really want to know, what was better about the 80s and 90s because everything I remember is the same or worse than the 20 years since.
