I read the article. Nothing to see here.
It ranks the most plastic surgeons per capita, not most procedures, doesn’t differentiate types of procedures, and doesn’t separate out reconstructive vs cosmetic surgery.
It does list factors that typically contribute to regional plastic surgery rates, but doesn’t acknowledge what is the obvious driver why Utah could have a high rate of plastic surgery (which is not established in the article).
Utah has a higher fertility rate among women with means to get plastic surgery. Case closed.
