Hence why I mentioned Bayern is better positioned to compete.

On the surface sure everything looks fine but Bayern must operate far differently these days. 10 years ago if Bayern wanted a player they negotiated against RM Barca or ManU. Now all of the sudden they could easily find themselves fighting off competing bids from Tottenham and Leicester. The group at the top is getting bigger almost exclusively with English teams.
