You're forgetting the third team, Atletico, which as been a UCL finalist twice
in the last 6 years (more than any EPL slide other than Liverpool). And Valencia was also a finalist twice in this century.
And the numerous Spanish clubs that have won the Europe League or been finalists in it: 3 have won it (Sevilla, Valencia, and Atleti) a total of 9 times, and 6 have been finalists (+ Athletic Bilbao, Alaves, and Espanyol), since 2000.
