Just because they can doesn't mean they should.
And nothing that they're asking for is "economically appropriate". They have no clue about the financial aspect of what they're asking for.
So they can ask away, but they should also not be surprised if their scholarships are revoked and they're all left with nothing. That's how the free market works.
