When I was considering getting my master's degree I had a decent chance at MIT. I knew their reputation as one of (if not the best) engineering schools in the world. I was worried whether or not I could keep pace academically with the others.

I met with one of my professors who earned all three degrees from MIT and explained my concerns. He told me that MIT engineering students had overall higher ACT test scores than BYU, and therefore the average engineering student at MIT was more capable than that at BYU.... BUT, that in his experience the highest achievers at BYU were more capable than the highest achievers at MIT.
