The ball doesn’t literally pop straight up after a catch and slide due to “no
control”. He definitely had it. And there was plenty of evidence to show control—Pau’u was already on the ground with the controlled catch before the UH player even got his arms in there. The ball didn’t come out until the swipe after that.
