Any holiday weekend coming from Moab that is faster
The back up on highway 6 gets bad as it goes from 4 to 2 lanes at the bottom of the canyon. Traffic was stopped East of the 89 turn. It’s at least 2 hours.

Then you made the correct decision. I had to take that route before due to fire up the canyon on the way towards Soldier

A fun alternate: Take I70 out of green river and hang a right at mile marker 147. Open the gate and close it behind
