at the start of the year, Army was just looking for any games. They were
reluctant to schedule BYU and Cincinnati on back-to-back weeks, but did it because of few other options to get 12 games on the schedule. Made sense to get any game in, because it was unclear if any later in the season would even happen.
Now they have had 7 games played and could have played 10 by the time for a rematch with BYU comes up. So if they made it through most of their season, then there is less urgency to get any 12th game let alone BYU for the 12th game.
