I agree

Most got into the partner track and realized how much they hated it. They just liked the idea of saying that they graduated from (pick the school) Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Chicago, etc. The people I know ended up stuck in those big law jobs until they could get their student loans paid off.

My dad became an airline pilot after retiring from the military. I can only assume it’s because he still wanted to fly

Nah. It's a pretty good job. Many times even fun. I don't dread going to work. I've never been terrified while there.
