Kalani's a better fit for BYU. He also has staying power and Grimes doesn't.
That's nothing against Grimes, he's just not LDS and Baylor is a better fit for him.
Sitake also had the good sense to hire Grimes in the first place, so you know he has an eye for talent.
I believe BYU has turned a corner, and hiring Grimes was a large part of that, but it was Kalani who put this staff together. You've got to give him kudos for that.
Of course, if BYU drops several notches this year (ending up 6-6 or worse) then, of course, I'll be right back on the "Get rid of Kalani Train".
