it wouldn't even have mattered that they weren't good enough to hardly get off the bench otherwise. As was the case for the SMC kid.

Truth is, we were quite fortunate the WCC didn't have many quality defensive bigs last year (including the Zags after Tillie went cripple) — cuz we really weren't built to handle them at all. Particularly if they were coached by a guy who knew what he was doing. It's the single biggest reason I laugh at people who are utterly convinced we had a deep Tourney run in our makeup last season.

We most certainly did NOT. We were dangerous & we were freaking tough. But we were also majorly flawed & undermanned in ways that were just too freaking easy to game-plan for.
