I didn’t get treated that great either, but I wasn’t on the team to get warm fuzzies from the coach. I was on the team because I loved playing the game (golf), and the perks that came with being a member. I was the end of the bench. And I loved it.
But as to BYU, I’d say you’re WAY OFF with football. Look at how many walk ons get PT then scholarships under Sitake. Tons of guys that contributed last year, and they let many guys play in garbage time late in games as well.
In hoops, BYU has a 10-man rotation. Would be 12 without injuries to 2 guys who would get decent time. That is a deep team. That is spreading it around. But transfers still happen. In and out. And it’s ok for many reasons. Transfers happen everywhere.
Turning this into a donation thing is just a weird take. Odd grandstanding from an outsider who’s connections are getting old.
I do have some Pope connections though and would say you’re way off with him in what you are alluding to. And I’ll leave it at that.
