The car pool lane is not a passing lane. If you believe it to be such, you’re a
fool. The only expectation anybody should have for the car pool lane is that it will almost always be less congested than all other lanes due to the restriction on who can enter that lane.
If someone is going too slow for your preference in the car pool lane, you should pass them in a passing lane.

People dont refer to it as the “left lane”. They call it the “fast lane” which should be grounds for losing your license
