We are trying this, but with school absences now a risk of being fined

($250, or something like that, after 10 absences) by the school, we are a bit tied by the school system. If we do get fined, we told him he has to pay for it...but we would basically have to take the money from him as he would just dig his heels in and not pay the fine.
