Cougarclaw Intervention Needed
Here's the thing. Businesses are not a charity. they are not a credit card
they are not a nanny state. Over the last hundred years, businesses have increasingly learned that taking care of their workers is both socially, politically, and profitably expedient. In many ways, taking care of workers directly benefits culture, profits, and growth. taking care of people also just feels right but also helps the business accomplish its mission: grow profits for its shareholders.

But to take money out of the firm to cover the extra costs of a worker who was and is still outside the norm is what I would consider immoral and completely against the purpose of the firm. if you feel badly for the individual, you can certain help with your own funds, as can everyone else the firm, but the business exists for the benefit of its shareholders and to co-opt that purpose is wrong. That's not its purpose, and the business will fail if it can't access and use its own profits which hurts all employees and owners.
