destroys college basketball. College basketball has the best post-season combined with the worst regular-season.
- All the most meaningful games of the regular season are played in empty neutral-court arenas during football season.
- The end of close games are agonizingly slow, with a half-dozen timeouts and too many fouls called.
- The use of halfs instead of quarters means that teams sit in one-and-one situations for long stretches of games further adding to the parade to the free throw line when the game is supposed to be most-intense.
- The onset of 1-and-done players takes away from a lot of the intrigue and the development of favorite players and villains... the biggest characters in college basketball aren't the actual players, but are the coaches: Roy Williams, Coach K, Tom Izzo, John Calipari, etc.
- The success of the most boring brand of basketball (I'm looking at you Virginia) has resulted in slow and low-scoring games.
This would just further dilute the quality of play in college basketball in general.
