rights to do with Y Mountain as they pleased. I have been consistent ... they are fine telling people not to do unsanctioned things on their property. That is their legal right, true. My comments have always been that while telling people no, they can do it in a kind way, "No, but we do love you and thank you for your concern for each other." Despite having legal rights, there are multiple ways the Church and BYU could respond. If kids do something on your lawn, you have multiple ways of responding to them, with different consequences.
If you go read my posts, I've been consistent on that point. I'm not saying the students who did this were right—I'm saying BYU could have responded with more love and that WE can respond with more love here on CB and in other places when we talk about this too.
