One of the teams that I have personally watched implement this

quite well. If I remember correctly, they had a running back that could bust through the middle like no other.

Snake River and Pocatello ran this or the wing-t, can’t remember for sure, but they won multiple championships with it. Late 90’s, early 2000’s if I remember correctly.

The DW’s biggest problem is that it’s not sexy enough for most coaches, boosters, and fans.

High schools still use wings a lot and are very successful. Dirty Dan’s Colton High used it back in his HS days.
