Explain how objective quality metrics are ridiculous? How are favorites
being Determined in your mind? I’m not using subjective opinion—I’m referring to unbiased data.

I don’t think your extrapolation of a single game is more objective than an entire seasons worth of results.

It would be a very flawed position to dismiss all objective data like KenPom, Sagarin etc over an entire season and default your entire position based on a one game. Betting lines aren’t that emotional.

Oregon st lost to Portland in the regular season than went on to the elite 8. Portland wouldn’t be favored to beat Oregon st.

Baylor lost to Oklahoma st by double digits in the big 12 tourney—doesn’t mean okla st would be favored against them in a 7 game series—

Ohio st. would be favored vs. Oral roberts despite losing head to head in the tournament. Gonzaga was favored for a reason—not just blind hype.
