As everyone has mentioned, the schedule gets a lot harder. The other big problem is that the line is losing a consensus All-American, and two other talented/experienced starters. I'm grateful that some depth has been built over the last few years, and there will be experienced replacements, but don't underestimate losing three quality starters.
The initial feedback on Coach Funk has been positive, and he is a very experienced coach who has worked for some big programs. I have faith that he will be a good coach for BYU. Kalani has learned some tough lessons regarding his coaching staff, and he has hired really solid coaches subsequent to his initial staff (TD was forced on him, and he had little money to hire other quality assistants). I hope that the pitchforks and torches don't immediately come out on Cougarboard when the new line experiences some inevitable bumps on the road due to tougher competition and new starters. Building a cohesive line takes a little bit of time, and there won't be any easy games to ease into the new starting lineup at the beginning of the season.
