RE: I go back to the Reynold's brothers.
It's easy to see that a good comparison can't be made. Or I should say the comparison isn't even close.

Who is going to be easier to coach to reach their potential and that ceiling be higher... not to mention I higher floor? Guys like we just saw last year, or Kanuch, Fusi, Dawe, a Matthews after double hip surgeries, Yeck, Kafu, etc.

Depth too. We've had as many injuries to OL lately as we've ever had. 2019 played 16 different OL combinations with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores and yet they still technically improved on the year prior. How? Higher caliber players at the top, and higher caliber players through the depth chart. Higher floor for early PT, higher ceiling to become something special. Better understanding of the game. More physically ready.

I'm not saying it has nothing to do with a good culture but it gets exaggerated like crazy on here. First and foremost our talent level has gone up across the board on the team.

Let's also not forget that Kalani is now himself a veteran head coach, not a rookie. He's been able to figure out how he wants his team managed. I think it's a little silly to think it's all attached to one single person, Grimes, and it all went out the door when he left. Especially when people use Kakani's first two years as the reference point. He's not rookie Kalani anymore. Back then isn't relevant.
