I originally was in our office which is like a loft more than anything because it has a door but only 3 walls and is open to the downstairs. I’m on conference calls all day though which made it hard with 4 kids, one of which is 2 and too young for preschool so the home isn’t always quiet. Plus with the other kids periodically having to be home because their school had a COVID outbreak or what not.

So I made the mistake of moving the office to our master because I can lock the door but now it’s easier for me to hope on even if for a few minutes. I need to find a better place to put my desk because I’m not doing a good job with separating work from home.

To make matters worse, we are crazy busy right now (mortgage industry) and my peer in Charlotte just left so I’m overseeing roughly 30+ direct reports and feel a responsibility to log on early but then be on for my team later.
