If the goal is a natty, I think BYU has just as good of a shot in the AAC
It's all hypothetical of course but two AAC teams have finished the regular season in the CFP top 10. If BYU could run the table and beat three quality P5 opponents, they'd at least be in the discussion (which is what UCF & Cincy have had).
If BYU runs the table this year they will be in the discussion but they still won't get in (and the path is definitely harder).
