I'll take your points one at a time
1) All the data I've seen shows BYU making about 4.5M/yr from their ESPN contract. The AAC signed a 7M/yr/team deal with ESPN and also gets NY6 money most years to distribute.
A lot of people have claimed I'm wrong on the BYU ESPN deal, but until there's some data/evidence besides just their claims, I have to go with that BYU reported.
2) I assume you're talking about eventual Big12 admission being based on on-field play. I don't think it will be at all (and frankly a lot of those other factors hurt us), but I do think that beating our competition in the field of play can only help.
3) I'm not sure if the AAC would take us football only. It's possible they aren't, and that's why we haven't done it. I just think we should at least try. Obviously no guarantee of success

Money. The new contract is not 4.5 a year. Being in a conference doesn't make us better positioned for P5

The SEC was getting ~43 million. ESPN taking over the lone CBS game is giving them a 20mm bump to 60+.
