dilbert Intervention Needed
This. A skunk won't spray if it can't lift it's tail, and the skunk traps are long and narrow. There's no room for them
to lift their tail when they are in there.

My FIL would just put the trap in his truck, drive out to the desert, set the trap down (away from his truck), open the door, and then back away. The skunk would be afraid to come out at first, so there was no danger of it charging him or anything. When it was good and ready, it would come out and wander off. Then my FIL would get the trap and drive home.
