I’m not following the logic
How is pulling out of the team event going to give her a better chance of medaling in the individual events?
Why shouldn’t she have been on the team? She’s the best gymnast we have.
No one has been in “top level competition” for two years. That’s not a reason to withdraw.

Really frustrating for the alternates who could have been on the team and were good enough to help earn gold.
