Michael Phelps. I’m not sure any Olympian has endured more pressure than him, especially in 2008. And he faced this pressure even though he’s been struggling with anxiety his entire life. I think all of us have always been amazed by his accomplishments in the pool, but perhaps we’ve failed to give him enough credit for what he accomplished.

Yeah, she had several egregious errors but still had the best score in almost every event.
