Who has a better chance getting into the top 12 and this in the CFB playoff…

A bottom dweller P5 program like Illinois / Wake Forest / Perdue / Arizona OR a top end G5 like BSU, Cincy, UCF

The P5s have $ and better recruiting but a way bigger mountain to climb in getting over those top dogs in your conference (good freaking luck gamecocks!) the G5’s have a much easier task but fewer dollars but they will likely not get in due to weak SOS… a solid G5 could probably recruit on par or better than the bottom P5 but will the SOS kill their chances? If they are not the conference champs of the 6th best conference are they out of luck?


OR!!!!

Best of both worlds… choose your schedule with a mix of P5 and G5 so you’re SOS is better than any G5 But not a monster like the SEC or B1G?

Maybe the cougs should forget expansion and focus on getting specific inclusion into the playoff picture…
