I have no idea if it is true or not, but your story sounds perfectly plausible.
He went somewhere he was ordered not to be. Whether or not he was guilty of stalking, he was most certainly guilty of violating the stalking injunction. He pled guilty and moved on, except he still carries a chip on his shoulder about BYU. Can't say I blame him.

But the OP brings up a fair point: it may be fair for everyone to evaluate the extent they are okay making light of other people's darkest hours.
