I am a huge BYU fan but with little actual football knowledge. I noticed last g
Game and this game that we bull rush 90% of the time. Every defender tries to lock up one offensive lineman. Including blitzing linebackers. It’s like when we blitz we are playing contain. When we rush 3 we are playing contain.
To make matters worse, defenders can’t even got off lock up blocks, so our rushers are often mitigated easily by blockers. It’s very strange to me that I can see that but our coaches do nothing about it.
Is it a talent issue? Yes. It’s the limited talents of our defensive coaches.
