The team with the shift on wants guys to bunt…. They’d take a bunt single 30%
Of the time (if a player could even do that) even with practice I don’t think it could be done) over said player jacking one over the fence.

The shift does nothing to prevent a guy from jacking it over the fence. All it's preventing is a single.
