I think it’s a disservice to BYU to read what is a really positive article about how special of a place BYU is for Bronco only to shoehorn KW into the conversation.

I think a lot of BYU fans would be surprised and disappointed if they could read a few of the letters that made their way to multiple members of the Whittingham family- including his mother in the aftermath of Whit’s decision to take the Utah job. The man was genuinely torn on which job to take and his love for BYU nearly pulled him back but ultimately he made his decision and the fallout was what it was. Ironically enough, Whitt will never talk about what went on publicly because he doesn’t feel that BYU and it’s fanbase deserve to be painted with such a broad brush, but it was pretty ugly there for awhile and it cut KW pretty deep.
