Sorry, you lost me completely. That sentence you shared is flat out wrong. Whitt has never ever cared about BYU and how it is "painted" in the public eye and even goes out of his way to make snide remarks and negative comments about BYU whenever the rivalry is brought up or he is interviewed about it publicly. I don't care if he was sent a few mean letters from a couple ridiculous BYU fans or if his wife was treated poorly at LES by a couple ridiculous BYU fans. That doesn't excuse his current behavior towards BYU at all. Every single coach or player in the public eye has to deal with a small minority of fans that do stupid stuff like that. I guarantee you Bronco received countless mean emails over his time at BYU and for sure once he left. That isn't an excuse to throw the whole entire university under the bus, not acknowledge anything positive about BYU at all, and slam BYU every chance you get. Give me break with the sob story about Whitt.
