Yeah I saw that and that changes things a little. The original things I suggested still apply, rest, soft shoes, achilles stretching exercises. If that helps in a few weeks great.

X rays will be taken to assess if you have a retrocalcaneal exostosis and or Haglunds deformity or just simply achilles tendonitis or if you have a lump in your achilles it would be tendinosis. I'm much more careful about cortisone injections into the achilles insertion or achilles tendon itself. PT is often very important for stretching and strengthening the gastroc and soleus.
